GJPD partners with CMU to ensure a safe environment 和 serve as a resource to students 和 staff. CMU Officers strive to build positive relationships with students, staff 和 community members through open dialog 和 daily interactions. Aside from police work, CMU Officers provide a variety of training topics 和 attend numerous events throughout campus. They partner with 学生生活 和 居住生活 to provide programs for students which build strong relationships, 建立信任, 和 deter criminal situations. The GJPD campus substation is located across Orchard Ave. from the tennis courts 和 next to Student Wellness at 1060 Orchard Ave. Just look for the CAMPUS SAFETY sign.

Officers welcome student 和 staff interactions! Once a month, "Coffee with Cops" is offered in various locations throughout campus. For the Fall 2023 the events will be on the following dates:

CMU offers a 安全行走计划 designed to provide safe travel around campus for students, 教职员工. Trained 校园安全 Assistants (CSAs) are available to walk you safely anywhere on the main campus 和 up to two blocks off-campus.
